First, separate reach from response

Low visibility and a weak profile can feel identical. Before resetting your account or paying for a boost, make sure the people who do see you have a clear reason to stop.

If your profile cannot explain who you are in a few seconds, more reach only sends the same weak first impression to more people.

Check the first-photo test

Your lead photo should make three things immediate: which person you are, what you look like now, and whether you feel approachable. Sunglasses, distance, dim light, heavy crops, and group shots all add work.

  • One clearly visible face
  • Recent and naturally lit
  • No competing person or distracting background
  • Expression that feels open, not staged

Then check the full profile

Six similar selfies do not create six reasons to match. Use the rest of the lineup to show range: full body, social context, an activity, and a detail someone can ask about.

Finish with a short bio that adds information your photos cannot. Specific beats impressive. One real detail is more useful than a list of adjectives.
